Every existing rating system for padel was either a chess Elo clone that ignored team dynamics, or a spreadsheet-level solution that fell apart at scale. The sport deserved better.
PadelRank is a Bayesian rating engine designed from the ground up for padel doubles — one that correctly separates individual skill from partnership performance, tracks uncertainty over time, and defends against the manipulation patterns that consistently corrupt ratings in competitive communities. It ships as a REST API so any developer can add accurate, transparent ratings to their padel application without building the algorithm from scratch.
PadelRank is built and maintained by the team at PadelResearch.io, a research group focused on data, statistics, and performance analysis in padel. The algorithm was calibrated and validated against thousands of real professional matches from FIP Major and Premier Padel tournaments before any API endpoint was published.
